What is SEO

SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” It is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” search results on search engines.

Definition According to Wikipedia  SEO is “the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine’s unpaid results”

In a world where over 90% of online experiences start with a search, showing up on the front page of Google can be the deciding factor between a business that’s thriving and one that’s, well, bankrupt.

Google’s intention is to provide best of best content for re-searcher, Google keep records only whatever you upload in your website, blog or image and then he find best content after sorting data to show result.  Search engines have two major functions: crawling and building an index, and providing search users with a ranked list of the websites they’ve determined are the most relevant.

All major search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo have primary search results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, as it is with paid search ads.

Search Engine Optimization in 2017 is a technical, analytical and creative process to improve the visibility of a website in search engines. Its primary function is to drive more visits to a site that convert into sales.

Search algorithms are still in their infancy. Many people will still be able to run successful businesses doing nothing but SEO for at least a few years to come. When I was new to SEO, and only knew a bit about it, I did not have a strong brand or understand marketing well. I did things like rank people for terms worth hundreds of thousands of dollars while charging them a one-time $300 fee. Did my efforts pay off? Sure, but due to my ignorance of the business end of the process, I still almost wound up bankrupt because I undercharged for services. As you learn more about the value of SEO and how it integrates into the web, you should be able to increase your income or social reach significantly. Only by pairing SEO with other marketing methods or viewing the web through a larger lens will you be able to fully appreciate the value of SEO.
